As student enrolments continue to increase, the overall education spend in the UAE has witnessed an astounding rise from $1.83 million in 2004 to $3.4 million in 2010, making it the second largest spender amongst the GCC countries. *

Al Ain boasts one of the largest education zones in the country. According to the Abu Dhabi Education Council, there a total of 188 public and private schools in Al Ain and is attended by over 100,391 students.  Currently, the number of Cycle 3 or secondary school students is over 18,000. **
